Updated: Apr 22, 2023

The webinar hosted by the Center for American and International Law's Institute for Energy Law (IEL) on December 14, 2022, focused on addressing the issues arising from the ongoing crisis in the European internal energy market, including a discussion of what to expect from governmental intervention measures and its long-term impact EU's energy policy objectives.

I spoke briefly about the transnational considerations arising from the EU's security of energy supply dilemma and emerging trends in other jurisdictions, such as the US, which will most likely impact developments in gas and electricity markets internationally.

Other speakers at the webinar included Frédéric Gilles Sourgens (Moderator), Washburn University School of Law, Topeka, Leigh Hancher, University of Tilburg and Florence School of Regulation, Florence, Italy; Anna Butenko, ENTSO-E, Brussels, Belgium, and Kim Talus Tulane University Law School, New Orleans, LA.
